Megan Nyberg's MeditationsA lake is the landscape's most beautiful and expressive feature. It is earth's eye; looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature. ~Henry David Thoreau
Just wanted to tell you I enjoyed this post. It took me back to pleasant days when I taught a class for underpriveleged kids at the art center here in Dayton. My class learned to make jewelry and one of my first classes was the weaving and braiding for friendship bracelets. Some girls felt it was a chore, others took to the braiding like old hands. some mae only one. Some made a dozen. Each chose her colors and they reflected her personality. Most important, they had fun. I’m not sure I like the silly bands. They are all alike to me and have no individuality to reflect the personality of the girls wearing them. Jewelry of any kind should say something about the wearer, and to me, silly bands say “oh, look, I’m just like all the other girls”.
Thanks for the opportunity to say who I am and what I am about. ….family, friends, creativity, teaching, sharing, and fun. I’ll be watching your other posts.

This blog is randomly filled with my sentimental and quirky thoughts for your entertainment. So, browse through the archives, ask and answer questions, subscribe, and click away on the numerous links and websites I feature on my site. But first, grab your winter jacket, hat, and mittens because you're in MN now.
