A smile’s worth a thousand words

For three weeks in a row, I’ve received some special smiles; all smiles are special, but these were even more special! From people, dear little ones, whose very names bring a smile to my face. These smiles, toothy and toothless, go beyond average, everyday grins. They are so much more than that. They are little moments that warm my heart. They remind me why I do what I do (whatever it is that I do…). They remind me why I want to do other things that I want to do. They remind me why I am, why we are, put in people’s lives for specific times and moments – no matter how short or long the moments last. But while these moments last in my life, I’m going to capture every smile and tuck them away for days when smiles don’t come. Because those days, like the rain, come. And that’s what makes the smiles even better.
