French Fry Friday: Minnesota Getaways

Ever hear yourself singing Lenny Kravitz’s “I Want To Get Away”?

Ok, maybe not. But you have wanted to, right? Get away?

I mean, don’t you you ever want to get away from the everyday demands and routines that run your life and pay the bills?

Looking for places to go so you can get out of Dodge?

Well, have I got some suggestions for you.

Duluth, Minnesota.

Pack up Fido and the kids, grab your friends and a Cannon (and a light jacket!) and head to Duluth!

The North Shore is breathtaking – literally, the breeze off the Lake can take your breath away. But it’s well worth it.

For as much as I love Duluth and all its beauty, one of my favorite Minnesota getaways is Brainerd/Gull Lake/Nisswa, Minnesota.

Sunny days.

Rainy days.

Wait. That was on the same day.

And no trip to Nisswa, even in the rain, is complete without some shopping (cute finds at Massie Creek and Buffalo Plaid. Plus Zaisers has rearranged and looks spiffy!) and ice cream!

So, grab your gear, gas up the car, and hit the road, Jack because Minnesota’s waiting. Go explore!
