That moment

There’s this moment when I am somewhere between here and there.

It’s that time right before something changes. It’s that moment right after something changes.

The split second I hesitate. The split second I go for it. The split second I second guess it all.

That moment.

When life is suspended. When your past and future collide. When you feel like a child and adult.

When you’re right on the edge. When you’re hanging on for dear life.

That moment.

It comes and goes.

At various life-stages. No matter people’s ages.

That moment.

Can be scary. Can be exciting.

That moment.

I know it very well.

The knots in my stomach. The excitement in my voice.

The feeling of my heart whispering goodbye and shouting hello.

That moment.

When you realize that you’re experiencing that moment.
